ADY Remote Fix

During these difficult times we are launching a new service to our customers, ‘ADY Remote Fix’.

Our fully trained and certified HP Engineers will call you and if need be video call you instead of visiting to ensure that Covid-19 is not spread. Keeping everyone safe. Often issues can be identified over the phone by our experienced staff which also saves the call out charge when it isn’t necessary. On a regular basis we find that a simple phone fix may well get you up and running in a more timely fashion.

We recognise that currently you may not want us to attend site, or indeed our engineers won’t be too keen either! A simple phone fix might save the day.

£50.00 plus vat will get you 30 minutes of our engineer’s time which they will endeavour to get you printing as soon as possible. This service will be subject to a Purchase Order or card payment in advance as always. If during the call we discover that an on-site visit is needed and can’t be avoided due to the nature of the fault, we will reduce our call out cost by the £50.00.

We also have an extensive stock of spare parts and consumables in our warehouse which can be dispatched by our engineers again to keep your machines running.

Annual Maintenance Contracts

If your equipment is an integral part of your business, you will want to keep any downtime to an absolute minimum. A D Young’s maintenance contracts will ensure there are never any unforeseen expenses. We offer a wide spectrum of support levels which all include the following as standard:

Whether you purchase your new HP device from us or someone else, we are able to provide 3, 4 and 5 year warranty packs with cover commencing from the day the machine is installed. Our office staff and A D Young Engineers are on hand to help you through any issues. The warranty will run exactly as our annual maintenance contracts do, with the added benefit of cover always being cheaper than that offered by the original manufacturer.

HP Finance

We are now able to offer finance on both new and used equipment. Our Finance partners are Hewlett-Packard and Kennet Leasing. Either partner should be able to offer competitive rates of Finance and with 20% Tax Relief on lease purchase agreements, it makes leasing a very good option and ensures that you can afford the best machine for the job. Leasing is available on 3 or 5 year terms and do not always require any upfront payments.

To ensure your equipment is running at its optimal printing quality, our professional install service is a must. An additional service we offer is delivery to site which also includes environmentally friendly removal of all packaging. Th install packs include the following:

  • Calibration & test prints
  • User training

Machine Removal and Relocation

If you are moving office and would like your printer moved and re-located by a professional team then let us take care of you. We can carry out comprehensive site surveys to minimise the chance of anything going wrong. Over the years we have heard countless horror stories of machines being damaged and sometimes even ruined by ‘helpful movers’ who sadly don’t know the correct way to handle specialised machinery. Pre Delivery Inspection

ADY always offer Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) on the Designjet range HP printers, so you don’t have to worry about the installation at all.

Have you ever experienced the joys of “Box Shifters” that simply arrange delivery to you without understanding the consequences of a very large box arriving at your office? It then sits there until an engineer arrives a few days later. Or even worse; your colleagues have to struggle with it themselves. It then either doesn’t work or you can’t get it to print, wasting hours in the process.

Our PDI service is designed to help both parties. When we pre-configure the printers before they are delivered, you can have a “plug in and print experience”, thus keeping your downtime to an absolute minimum.

As well as pre-configuring the printers the PDI service ensures that there isn’t any packaging to be disposed of by you. We re-cycle all packaging at our Warehouse. Full installation and training is offered on all of the HP Designjet range that we sell. This is carried out by one of our fully trained HP engineers who cover the whole of the UK.

This pre-configuration at our workshop means it should take us less than an hour after delivery to install and show you how to get the best from your new printer. The time saving then continues as most of the new Designjet models print approximately 5 x faster than the older machines.


Should your equipment not be covered by one of our support contracts, we are able to offer our breakdown repair service throughout the UK. Our experienced and knowledgeable office staff will guide you through our wide range of service options with considerations towards your budget and the urgency you attach to the rectification of your problem. We’ll buy your old Plotter/Printer

Your old plotter might still be worth some money. So why not sell it to us or part-exchange it for a new machine instead of throwing it away or paying someone to collect it.
